Saturday(12.00) - Coffee & Cake at Force Cafe, Ambleside
Saturday(12.30) - 8 Mile Guided Trail Run, with Boat Trip + Cafe Stop
Saturday (19.30) - Dinner & Social at The Tap Yard, Ambleside
Sunday (09.00) - Coffee at Force Cafe, Ambleside
Sunday (10.00) - 10 Mile Guided Trail Run and Grasmere cafe stop
Sunday (14.00) - Lunch at Force Cafe, Ambleside
COST £45 - includes Guided Runs & Boat Trip. Excludes Food & Drink BONUS - Altra Running are our shoe partner, so you get to run in Altra shoes all weekend, for FREE
THE RUNS - All super-scenic, and socially-paced, with plenty of stops for photo opportunities and to marvel at the views
ACCOMMODATION - We base ourselves 100% in Ambleside, as there’s plenty of accommodation in the Village.

For our next Last Sunday of the Season (LSOS)…..
We are being hosted by The Incredible The Dream Bean Cafe in Offley Hoo….famous the best Toasties on Planet Earth, and (BONUS) they serve cakes from the equally incredible Luke's Patisserie
ONCE AGAIN THERE WILL BE A RUNNING GROUP & JEFFING GROUP (Jeffing is a combination of run & walk)

Louise Goldsmith is joining our Spider Runners Ambassador Team
We have had the absolute pleasure of running with Louise and wonderful family Flavio, Tasha & Heather for many years, and she amazes us with her sheer determination to tackle anything & everything, especially when it’s outside her comfort zone, with absolute determination & passion….all with a huge smile on her face.
If you heard Louise’s talk at National Running Show, you’ll know that her own running journey is nothing short of inspirational.
If you have ever run with Louise, you’ll know that her support & encouragement for absolutely everyone is incredible.
If you’ve been to one of our events, you’ll have experienced why Louise’s fun & passion is a big part of making everyone feel welcome.
It’s hugely important that anyone joining our Team is a ‘real person tackling the real life challenges we all face ‘ ….we won’t always have the answers but we will always offer our total support & friendship .
Louise will most definitely make us a better Team, and be a champion for Women’s Wellness in Running.

MENTAL HEALTH & MEN’S WELLNESS AMBASSADOR
Nothing changes that Andrew still offers support to all Spider Runners tackling mental health challenges
What Andrew is adding, alongside Louise Goldsmith becoming our Women’s Wellness Ambassador, is our recognition that modern life can be tough …and if you just need someone to listen to you, who won’t judge, and can signpost you to a happier place…that has to be a good thing
1000%-inclusive running group, Spider Runners, was awarded the prestigious National honour of Running Club of the year, by England Athletics, at the prestigious awards ceremony last weekend, at Birmingham NEC.
Spider Runners was founded in 2022 by Mike Bullock & Susan Mansfield, both keen runners, with a history of 360 marathons & ultra marathons between them,
The club is all about encouraging people of all abilities to try running, walking or jeffing (a combination of walking & jogging)..absolutely nobody is excluded, and all our events end with a social…usually in a café with Coffee & Cake….we are most definitely a club that promotes the mental health benefits of spending time talking to like-minded people!
Mike said….we set the club up with a passionate mission to prove that it doesn’t matter what your ability, disability, age, sex etc are, we can help you be more active… all runs accommodate different paces and nobody is ever left behind, or more importantly…everyone is always made to feel like they 1000% belong !
Inclusivity can also be financial, so we don’t charge for membership, or any of our club runs, events or running holidays, and we offer members big discounts on local races and running gear, to help encourage people to come and join us. Saturday is always parkrun day and our Parkrun Ambassadors organise regular meet-ups at local parkruns, where you get to meet loads of other Spider Runners (we always have cake in the café afterwards !)
As part of our passion for inclusivity we have our Ambassadors for Mental Health, Autism, parkrun, Running Gear…we are always on the lookout for passionate people to join our team.
Since setting up, the Group has developed to include everyone from absolute beginners, and people who never considered running, to 3 World record Holders
It’s massively friendly and supportive…loads of people who aren’t regular runners join the group for the daily support & encouragement.
